Focus 2040

One of Canada’s top Human Resource Management Competitions, Focus2040 attracts the best and brightest minds to collaborate, compete and earn recognition

Canada’s top Human Resource Management Competition

It’s 2040. You are the business leaders of tomorrow and have the imagination to bring forth new ideas; the potential to change the world. You are the future.

Focus 2040 is a competition facilitated by McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business in association with SCNetwork. The program reaches over 160,000 undergraduate and graduate level students across Canada. The program challenges students to predict the world of work in the year 2040. The competition is the first of its kind in the Human Resource Management and Organizational Strategy domain and leverages the value of industry-academic affiliation to deliver experiential learning.

A successful competition acutely aware of their dated look and outdated website inaccessible to mobile users. The organization recognized a need for youthful interaction with the pubic and required a social media strategy.

A complete end to end solution was produced. Establishing a visual identity package with collateral was applied to a functional online presence. The ‘working’ online home created allowed for sales, event booking and communication, all while integrated with local workflows for all team members. Training was provided in all aspects of marketing, social media strategy, CMS and SEO upkeep.

Focus 2040 identity
  • Brand creative direction and visual identity
  • Established a social media plan with initial content templates and training
  • Print collateral design signage, and event materials
  • Email/Newsletter templates and broadcasting strategy
  • Responsive website redesign with calendar management and mobile users in mind
  • CMS self-sufficient training for all team members
  • Provided long term marketing and SEO strategies
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Orlando once again for its involvement with the Focus 2040 competition. Their hard work launched the new image of the competition, enabling us to become Canada’s top Human Resource Management Competition!
